staying present in the present

Hello Fellow Travelers,
January has flown in and is flowing by. It seems as if the Holiday season is long gone. There is so much to talk about with the quickly changing energies, yet the guidance I am receiving for this message is to stay focused on the present. Whatsoever it is that has come into our experience as of late, it is wise to stay focused in the present. Despite our tendencies to run, hide, deny, or otherwise distract ourselves, it is imperative to stay focused in the present.
For it is within this precious moment that we find the golden nugget of life. It is in the present where we will find a moment of peace. It is in the present that we can practice awareness for in this moment we have no worry, fear or anticipation. Fear only exists in the future or the past. It is in the present moment that we can go deeply into the awareness of our experience. The present moment is both wide and deep. Take this moment to practice presence. Feel yourself in this moment, there is no future, there is no past, there is only this moment. Sense the depth of the moment. Sense its power. Stay present with yourself in this moment. As the moment slips away there is another moment.
In the healing art of Reiki there is a symbol that invokes a great healing power. It is the place of pure presence. It is where all healing is possible. This is not really a place, but a consciousness that healers have used for eons to clear dis-ease, and bring about the consciousness of wholeness. In your everyday life, you may step into this place by practicing being present in the moment.
There is no need to strain or stress as you practice. With all the new energies of deeper conscious living coming into our lives, it is imperative that all that we do, we do with "beginners mind". We are open, aware, and practicing being present. This is where you will find peace. It is where the healing resides.
Remember that present moments are free. They are never to be hoarded or stocked up. They are always available, and each moment brings with it the opportunity for discovering something you never ever could have imagined. Each moment has the potential to transform your entire life.
Be blessed. Be in the precious moment and as it slips away, step lightly and with beginners mind into the next.
Remember you are loved, and you are always held in the deep abiding love of the moment.
Mary
